Good Morning, HR Monthly HR-News Episode Scheduling

Thank you for agreeing to be my guest on the monthly HR News episode of Good Morning, HR podcast.

A few days before our recording, I will send you a list of HR-related articles from which you can choose three or four that you’d like to discuss.

In this form you will be asked to:

1. Provide information about yourself,

2. Schedule a tech run with my team, and

3. Schedule a time to record your podcast.

Please complete all three steps!

This is generally a 30-minute podcast. We’re booking an hour but if technology works right, we’ll take less time!

Once you’ve picked your time, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a calendar item to hold the selected time.

1. Please provide the following information about yourself and your topic.

This information will help Mike prepare for your interview.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

2. Verify your technology and schedule a time for a tech run with our team.

My goal is to create a quality podcast that you will be proud to share with your network.

We use SquadCast, a software platform, to record our audio and video. It works best on Chromium-based browsers like Google Chrome, Edge, and Opera. You may encounter issues when using Safari. SquadCast does not support non-Chromium browsers such as Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Your phone or tablet will likely not work with SquadCast.

You can use Bluetooth or wired headphones to hear the conversation but the audio from their built-in microphones generally do not produce recording-quality sound.

Use of a USB mic and earphones/headphones is necessary to ensure the best quality. Most microphones have a 3.5 mm jack into which earbuds can be plugged.

My team can give you advice on optimizing the sound quality during the tech run though.

Please schedule a tech run with our team below. This test should be conducted with the equipment (computer, video camera, microphone, and headphones/earbuds) that you plan to use and in the location from which you will be recording.

If you have requested that we send you headphones or a mic, please schedule this tech run a minimum of seven business days from today to ensure delivery.

3. Schedule your Recording Time

We schedule an hour for the recording. This gives us time to tweak any last minute issues and record the full episode (typically between 30 and 45-minutes).

Please schedule your recording time at least seven business days after your scheduled tech run. This will give us time to send any equipment necessary or help troubleshoot any issues.
